JobInvoice Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you use the JobInvoice apps for iPhone, iPad and Android ("JobInvoice", "the app"). JobInvoice is provided by STAN I.C. ALEXANDRU PFA, Romania ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the limited personal data described below.

In short: your business records stay on your device. JobInvoice has no account system, and we run no server that stores your clients, rates, jobs, quotes, invoices or payments. Information leaves your device only when you choose to do something that needs it: sharing a document, exporting a backup, importing from Google Sheets, or opening the feature board.

1. Information stored only on your device

When you use JobInvoice, you enter information about your business and your work:

  • your business details, such as name, address, email, phone number, tax and registration numbers, and logo;
  • your clients' names, contact details and addresses;
  • your rates and price lists;
  • jobs, including notes, addresses and photos you attach;
  • quotes, invoices, payments and receipts.

This information is saved in the app's private storage on your device. We do not receive it, and we cannot see, recover or delete it for you. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it, unless you have exported a backup.

Some of this may be personal data about other people, such as your clients. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to keep that information and for how you share the documents you create.

2. Information you choose to share

JobInvoice only sends information off your device when you ask it to:

  • Documents and receipts. When you share a PDF, the app gives it to your device's share sheet. Where it goes next, such as email or a messaging app, is up to you and governed by that service's own terms.
  • Rate exports. Exporting your rates creates a CSV file that you share the same way.
  • Backups. A backup is a file containing your business details, logo, clients, rates, jobs, documents and payments. Job photos are never included. You decide where the backup file is saved or sent. We do not receive it.

3. Photos

If you add a business logo or attach photos to a job, the app asks for access to your photo library. Only the photos you select are copied into the app's private storage. They are not uploaded anywhere. JobInvoice does not use your camera or microphone.

4. Google Sheets import (optional)

You can import rates from a Google Sheet you choose. To do this, you sign in with Google and allow JobInvoice read-only access to your spreadsheets (spreadsheets.readonly).

  • JobInvoice reads only the spreadsheet you point it at, and only when you start an import.
  • Your device talks to Google directly. The spreadsheet contents do not pass through any server of ours.
  • The rows you import are saved as rates on your device, like any other rate.
  • The access token Google issues is kept in the app's memory only and is discarded when you leave the import screen. JobInvoice does not request or store a refresh token, so it cannot read your spreadsheets in the background or at any later time without you.
  • JobInvoice never writes to, modifies or deletes your spreadsheets.
  • Google's sign-in software may keep you signed in on this device so you are not asked to sign in again next time. Google provides JobInvoice with your basic Google profile (name, email address and profile picture) as part of sign-in. JobInvoice does not store or use this information, and does not send it to us.

Google's own processing. Signing in with Google is provided by Google and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. Google's sign-in software may collect information of its own, such as identifiers and diagnostic data, as described by Google.

Removing access. You can remove JobInvoice's access at any time in the app, under Settings → Google account → Disconnect Google. This withdraws the permission on Google's side and signs you out on the device. Rates you already imported stay in the app. You can also remove access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections.

Limited Use. JobInvoice's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not let people read it, except where you ask us to for support or where the law requires it.

5. Feature board

JobInvoice lets you suggest features, vote on requests and report problems on our feature board. The board is operated by us at featureboard.midway.workers.dev and hosted by Cloudflare. It opens inside the app only when you tap Open the feature board in Settings.

When you open the board, the app sends:

  • a random identifier created by JobInvoice the first time you open the board. It is not derived from your device, your advertising identifier, your Google account or your business details. It lets the board recognise your own posts and votes when you come back;
  • your device platform (iOS or Android), app language, light or dark appearance, and app version, so the board can display correctly.

No business records are sent: no business name, clients, rates, jobs or documents.

Anything you write on the board, such as feature requests, comments, votes and problem reports, is stored by us together with that random identifier. The board is public: anyone who opens it can read posts and comments and see vote counts. Your identifier is not shown with them. Do not include personal information about yourself or others in a post.

We use this information only to run the board and decide what to improve in JobInvoice. We keep board content for as long as we operate the board, or until you ask us to delete it.

Like any website, the board's hosting provider processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect the service. We do not use it to identify you or to determine your location.

Resetting or deleting. Deleting the app discards the random identifier. A new one is created next time, and the board no longer links your earlier posts to you. To have posts deleted, contact us (see section 11) and tell us which posts they are.

6. App Store and Google Play reviews

After you send a quote or issue an invoice, JobInvoice may ask the operating system to show its standard rating prompt, at most once a day. The prompt is displayed by Apple or Google, and any rating or review you leave is handled by them. JobInvoice only records, on your device, the time it last asked.

7. What we do not do

  • We do not include advertising or advertising SDKs.
  • We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
  • We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.
  • We do not require an account.

8. Legal bases (EEA and UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • performance of a contract, to provide the features you ask for, such as the Google Sheets import and the feature board;
  • our legitimate interests, to run, secure and improve JobInvoice using feature board content, in ways you would reasonably expect.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Most of your information never reaches us, so you control it directly in the app. For the limited data we hold (feature board content and its random identifier), contact us using the details in section 11.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. Our lead authority is Romania's National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

10. Children

JobInvoice is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has posted on the feature board, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how JobInvoice handles information, we will update this policy and change the effective date above. If a change is significant, for example if JobInvoice starts storing your business records on a server, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
